There’s a lot of excitement happening with the Howards Grove FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America)! We are excited to announce that we have 57 members enrolled this school year, the largest number ever! If you are looking to purchase some fabulous new Howards Grove apparel, check out the new Tiger Zone store located in the Commons Area of the High School. Tiger Zone will be open during all home basketball games and parent/teacher conferences. The hours may be expanded over the next months. Tiger Zone is managed by Howards Grove FBLA members and advisers. Check out Tiger Zone on Facebook. FBLA is planning the high school’s Community Service Day again this year. This wonderful event will take place on December 22nd. The goal each year is to spread holiday cheer throughout our community, while performing service at a variety of locations. Some things we will be doing are: assisting at Northview Elementary School, painting walls at Habitat for Humanity’s Resale Store, assisting at the Sheboygan Food Pantry and RCS, visiting Harvest Home, and Christmas caroling.
We have also been working on the events we decided to compete in for our Regional FBLA competition, which will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Hartford High School. We have members competing in numerous events and hope to send many of them to FBLA State this year. We are incredibly fortunate to have two great advisors: Mrs. Bev Biederwolf and Ms. Kim Zimmer. Thank you for all that you do for the club and for the school! Connor Siemers, Student FBLA Reporter
