Dear Howards Grove Families and Community, March 17th, 2020
Thank you to all of our families and staff members for a calm and caring transition to this shutdown. I continue to be incredibly impressed by all of your efforts. As a follow up, we would like to share additional information about programming and other services. We will be adding a resource page to our website. This resource page will provide links and suggested sites to help you manage and coordinate your efforts at home.
- If you were unable to pick up Chromebooks, educational materials, and personal belongings on Tuesday, March 17th the buildings will also be open tomorrow, Wednesday March 18th from 9 am to 1 pm.
- Medication: If your son or daughter has prescription medication in any of the school offices, a parent can pick it up by 3:00 PM on Wednesday, March 18th. Please contact the front office to let them know you will be picking up the medication.
- Food Service: We will be providing free bag lunches at the High School for any individual that is 18 years old or under starting on Wednesday, March 18th from 11 to 1. Pick up with be just inside the High School doors (High School Commons area). This is a grab and go so individuals will not be able to eat on campus.
- Virtual learning: Virtual Learning officially begins on Thursday, March 19th. Teachers will be in communication with students and/or families. During the closure if you have any questions regarding the work provided please contact your child’s teacher. Chromebook issues should also be reported to the classroom teacher. - End of Term: As of today, we have changed the end of the 3rd term to April 17th.
- Contact information: If you have any changes to your contact information please notify your school office.
- Office hours: We will have limited office hours at all of our sites. Each building will be open Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 8am to 12 noon.

- If you do not have internet access and Spectrum is not an option due to your location, please contact your building principal.
- We know the next several weeks may present challenges to students and families. There are many community resources available. If you or someone in your family is struggling with mental health, there are text and call lines featured below. These support lines are available 24 hours a day.
