Dear Howards Grove Families,
With the heightened level of concern related to the COVID-19 virus, I would like to provide you with an update regarding the district’s preparedness and the steps that will be taken.
In an effort to help stop the spread of the virus, we will be cancelling all activities and events this weekend (March 13-15). This will include the boys basketball tournament sponsored by the Millersville Rec and Athletic Association. In conjunction with the recommendations of state and local officials, along with the WIAA, any event with an expected attendance of 250+ people should be cancelled and/or postponed.
Our district has a responsibility to help prevent the spread of the Corona virus, and we want to allow our cleaning staff adequate time to thoroughly clean our district facilities in an attempt to make them safer for our students, staff, and community.
Please continue to self care by washing your hands often, cleaning frequently touched surfaces, monitoring symptoms of you and your children covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home when sick.
