Howards Grove High School will hold their first Reality Day for all Seniors. The day’s activities will include speakers and discussions about future careers and financial obligations. In addition, all students will work their way through a financial simulation where they are assigned a career, salary, dependents, and debt. Stations will be staffed by area business people and community members. These stations include obtaining housing and insurance. Students will also need to choose a vehicle, obtain financing, pay loans, and make other financial decisions about life’s needs and wants.
We are looking for several adult volunteers to help us maneuver the morning, approximately 8:00 – noon on Wednesday, April 24. If you would be available and are interested in helping out, please contact Bev Biederwolf or Kim Zimmer at the high school.
